Welcome to Kanaks Child Care

My name is Kanak Asthana. I have done Master's in Psychology, Bachelor's in Education. I am First Aid and CPR trained. I have done the Medication Administration Training also.

I have been in teaching from 15 years in different countries. I worked in India, Bahrain, Dubai, Michigan, Indiana & Virginia with toddlers through high school children. I enjoyed my work very much. So I decided to open a day care center.

Our Statement

Kanaks Child Care is a licensed home childcare center for 12 kids. It was opened on December 11th 2006. Since then childcare is running successfully. At Kanaks Child Care children are inspired to explore, experience and make new connections with the world around them. Children need to grow, in a fun, safe and nurturing environment. My goal is to provide your child with a clean, safe, comfortable environment where they can play and learn with guidance and loving care while you are at work or attending school. We would like to express our heartfelt thanks for the nice day care provided by Kanaks Child Care. The neat and hygienic facility excels in every aspect to provide the best value in terms of kid's health, habits and daycare.

The quiet neighborhood and easy access to the highways added to the convenience levels. The hard work, experience and maturity of Mrs Kanak was brilliantly superb in developing the Instant rapport with kids. Our kid loved her to the extent that she doesn't want to come home back from the center. Her experience in teaching and education in psychology provides a unique model of understanding and does wonders when it is most needed. To develop the interest in the kids, she has kept in mind the technology, tools, books and plenty of toys, which serve their purpose all day long. The timeliness of activities can easily be felt observing the kid at weekends.

We can certainly see a huge improvement in our kid in terms of language skills, attitude and creativity. She was given a lot of interesting art and craft activities along with regular

playtime which were important for her to develop skills towards color, shape, objects, letters and Rhymes.

In short, the center has surpassed our expectations on all corners and we thank you to Mrs Kanak for providing this atmosphere.

Vaani has been at your day‐care for over a year with you.

Over the last one year she has become very fond of you and has learnt a great deal from being around you.

We want to take this opportunity to Thank You from the bottom of our hearts for nurturing Vaani through this time. There are several unique qualities in you and your day‐care that set you apart from other such places that we know of.

You are truly dedicated in caring for the children but even more so you give high importance to their mental and physical developmental needs. You are very knowledgeable about the developmental milestones a child should meet at each stage and keenly track those for every child in your care. You have the educational background that you apply towards understanding each child's psychology, and handling the child in an appropriate manner. We would like to list a few specifics that demonstrate your dedication, knowledge and patience with the children.

• You added several new activities, toys, books, music, and a new out‐door play area for the kids, all in a span of one year.
• You drive long distances to teachers' aid stores to buy educative and stimulating toys and activities for the kids. This is unheard of in a home day‐care setting.
• You give personal attention to every child and cater to his or her individual needs.
• You suggest modifications to a child's meals and clothing when you think it is needed and appropriate.
• You involve the parents by planning and coordinating activities for the kids even outside the bounds of your day care.
• You have a very multi‐cultural group of children and you try to expose them to different cultures by celebrating their holidays at the day‐care. The children get an early start to breaking cultural barriers, even before they have formed.

Our daughter Vaani has blossomed from being a shy toddler, who did not speak much when she joined your day‐care, to being a charming little girl, who is very confident, articulate and expressive. She now has a vocabulary that amazes us every single day. We are extremely grateful to you for helping her get such a jump start on her development. You will always remain in Vaani's life as her first "Guru".
